The Philosophy is the result of this focus. A limited release Cabernet Sauvignon & Shiraz blend, sourced from small parcels of super premium fruit. This is an iconic wine that displays the McGuigan family’s dedication to winemaking. A wine that truly represents the McGuigan philosophy.
The Philosophy is designed to have distinct power, yet refined elegance. We achieve this by sourcing wines from regions that have slightly different attributes that add to the depth and complexity of the wine. A portion of the Cabernet fruit was sourced from Langhorne Creek as this region is known for producing wines with excellent structure and power.
The rest of the Cabernet was sourced from the region of Wrattonbully to further enhance the aromas, flavour and elegance of the wine. The Shiraz grapes were obtained from the Clare Valley to achieve the intense fruit flavours and sweet spice characters that Shiraz is known for.
