A party favourite that combines creamy, cheesy goodness with the earthy tones of spinach, all served in an edible bread bowl.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cob loaf
  • 250g frozen spinach, thawed
  • 250g cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 packet French onion soup mix
  • 1 cup grated cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste

 

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. Hollow out the cob loaf to create a bowl, saving the bread for dipping.
  3. Mix the spinach, cream cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise, soup mix, and half of the cheese. Season with salt and pepper.Fill the loaf with the mixture, top with the remaining cheese, and bake until golden

Main Course - Apricot Chicken

A sweet and savory delight that marries the tanginess of apricot with tender chicken, creating a dish that's both comforting and sophisticated.

Ingredients:

  • 8 chicken thigh fillets
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 can apricot halves, drained (reserve syrup)
  • 1 packet French onion soup mix
  • 1 cup chicken stock
  • 2 tablespoons apricot jam

 

 

Instructions:

  1. Arrange chicken and onion in a dish. Mix apricot syrup, soup mix, stock, and jam, then pour over the chicken.
  2. Bake until the chicken is cooked through, serving with a side of your choice.

Instructions:

Ingredients:

  • 1 sponge cake, cut into cubes
  • 2 cups icing sugar
  • 1/3 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 cups desiccated coconut

Instructions:

  1. Mix icing sugar, cocoa, and milk for the icing. Dip cake cubes in chocolate, then roll in coconut.
