The 2020 Vintage was noted for one of the most severe droughts in recent times. This was coupled with the extremes of hot weather and in many areas, there was fire causing issues. The yields this year were on the low side, but this resulted in the fruit having concentrated aromatics.
The fruit was machine harvested and selected from vineyards in Murray Darling and Riverland with various soil types and trellis systems to balance the style and flavour profile to produce a harmonious wine. Fermentation was carried out at cool temperatures to retain maximum fruit characters and arrested at desired Baume. Post-fermentation the wine was blended and stabilised.
