The 2006 Shortlist Shiraz was awarded top three and Best Australian Shiraz at the Syrah Du Monde (Shiraz of the World) competition in France.
 
The Wine
This is a well structured, full-bodied wine with chewy tannins typical of the great Barossa Valley Shiraz. It has rich blackberry and plum flavours with a hint of liquorice and vanillin oak with a long, seamless finish.

Dominant blackberry aromas combined with pepper spice and anise.
 
Food Match
Ideal with rich red meat dishes such as peppered beef, roasted venison and braised ox tail.
 
Cellaring
